MDC playwright Vicki Vodrey's play The Frowning Vajayjays of Shady Pines, which received its world premiere earlier this year courtesy of MeltingPot KC, is headed west!
Vodrey's colorful tale set in a Southern retirement home has been selected for inclusion in the upcoming season at Script2Stage2Screen, "an innovative performing arts organization for the development of original productions on the stage and screen" in Rancho Mirage, CA (adjacent to Palm Springs). Joining a season of plays by playwrights from across the country, Frowning Vajayjays will receive its fully staged reading in February.
UPDATE: There will be three performances: Friday, February 6, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, February 7, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
