Hooray for "Death!"

Red Death, the new operetta with libretto by MDC's own Bryan Colley, continues to make waves at KC Fringe, with a nearly packed house last night at the Off Center Theater. Adapted from Edgar Allen Poe's short story "The Masque of the Red Death" and directed by Tara Varney, the show features a score by Daniel Doss and the vocal talents of Nathan Granner and Devon Barnes, plus a cadre of gifted dancers and choreography by Amy Hurrelbrink.

Here's just a sampling of the praise from published reviews...
"...just a phenomenal and disturbing piece - in fact I still have the ending image in my head..."

"... a gem, cut and polished, all its facets working together: "Red Death" is an operatic diamond."
"Masterfully done."

"...a powerful experience."

"This truly is THE KC Fringe show to see!"
And here's the best news: you still have two chances--but only two--to see it for yourself, tonight and Saturday night. Buy your tickets now!
