"True Image" by Darren Canady reading August 10

In the boiling underbelly of New York City, Veronica and her best friend Luke jump aboard a subway train after a night of revelry. An act of violence and the electric young man they find there will cause their notions of identity, love, sex, and friendship to explode.

Please join us for for the first reading from one of Midwest Dramatists Center's newest class of resident playwrights, Darren Canady, as we read his play "True Image."

Doors open at 7 p.m. The approximately 50-minute reading begins at 7:30, followed by a talkback with the playwright, director Sidonie Garrett, and the cast. The Midwest Dramatists Center is located in the Writer's Place at 3607 Pennsylvania. As with all MDC readings, free and open to the public.
