On Sunday, September 29 we will present eight plays by local young playwrights. Writers in grades 6 through 12 from the Kansas City metro area are encouraged to submit their plays. There are no fees associated with this opportunity, but playwrights must be in attendance to have their plays read. Submissions will be capped at 100.
Plays must have no more than three characters and be no more than 10 pages of script with standard formatting.
Please send scripts to director@midwestdramatists.org as a blind submission (no name or other identifying information), with contact details listed in the email, and put “MDCY” in the subject line of the email. Scripts that fail to follow the submission guidelines will be disqualified. The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2019, and selected playwrights will be notified on or around July 15, 2019.
