MDC Playwright: Dan Born

Dan is a resident of Lawrence, KS and a founding member of EMU Theatre, a small collective theatre dedicated to new play development. He's had numerous productions in Lawrence, as well as readings at the Great Plains Theatre Conference, the William Inge Theatre Festival, the Living Room Theatre, the Fishtank Studio, and the Ground and Field Festival in Davis, CA. Recently his play Bang was produced by KC Public Theatre in 2018. Dan also enjoys directing, most recently co-directing a production of Bent, which had performances in Lawrence and Kansas City in 2018.
